Fact-Checking Process

How SabisCareers verifies salary data, visa requirements, school information, and other factual claims in our teaching career guides.

Our Fact-Checking Standards

Teaching abroad is a major life decision. Wrong salary data or outdated visa information can cost teachers thousands of dollars and months of wasted effort. That’s why every factual claim on SabisCareers goes through our fact-checking process.

What We Fact-Check

  • Salary figures: Verified against teacher surveys, recruitment agency data, and school HR confirmations
  • Visa requirements: Cross-referenced with official government immigration portals for each GCC country
  • School information: Student numbers, curriculum types, locations, and accreditation status verified with official school sources
  • Qualification requirements: Confirmed with Ministry of Education regulations for each country
  • Cost-of-living data: Based on multiple data sources including Numbeo, expat surveys, and first-hand contributor reports
  • Statistics and market data: Traced to original sources (ISC Research, government statistics offices)

Our 4-Step Process

Step 1: Source Verification

Every factual claim must be traceable to a primary source. We prioritize government data, official school publications, and first-hand verified experience over secondary reporting.

Step 2: Cross-Referencing

Key data points (especially salary ranges) are cross-referenced against at least two independent sources. If sources conflict, we note the discrepancy and explain our methodology.

Step 3: Expert Review

Content covering specific countries or school networks is reviewed by a team member with direct experience in that area. Reviewer names and credentials are displayed on the article.

Step 4: Ongoing Monitoring

Published content is monitored for accuracy on a quarterly cycle. When regulations, salaries, or school information changes, we update the affected content and note the revision date.

Transparency Labels

Articles that have been through our fact-checking process display the following signals:

  • A “Fact-checked” badge with the date of last review
  • The name and credentials of the reviewing editor
  • Publication and last-updated dates
  • A link back to this page explaining our methodology
